The 9V battery that energizes the Aqua Pro Controller for our automatic irrigation valves will last approximately one year. The life span depends on how often the valve turns on and off. 

It is a good practice to regularly test the 9V battery before and after the season. This will ensure your plants never miss a scheduled watering. The link below can show you how to test the battery. If the battery is below 8V then it should be replaced.
